2026 marks POPEYE's 50th anniversary. The latest issue features the traditional fashion snap feature "STYLE SAMPLE '26," which is released every January. This issue's lineup is as rich and luxurious as ever, including a homage to the inaugural issue, interviews with Blood Orange and Sampha, and a book-in-book compilation of Popeye's snap history from 1976 to the present. Start the year by looking around the world and thinking about your own style. Presenting the long-awaited 2026 installment in our annual “Style Sample” series! This year we snapped photos in ten cities across seven countries. In LA, we shot skaters on Venice Beach. In New York, we embedded ourselves in the tour of R&B singer Blood Orange. In London, we visited Savile Row and the studio of legendary musician Sampha. We also somehow found time to hit Mumbai, India, and Lausanne, Switzerland. And to celebrate POPEYE’s 50th anniversary, we pulled old snaps out of the archive, many of which feature looks that have come full circle and are back in style. But first up, here are photos from our visit to the UCLA campus, which we also covered for our very first issue in 1976.
