Titanium frame - can be used for optical or sunglasses. CLASSICO pursues simplicity and the timeless spirit of returning to the basics. The brand—Italian for “classic”—was founded in 2012 in Taipei by two Taiwanese designers: Gary & Tom. The two met in the vintage Vespa subculture, bonding over a shared appreciation for old-school aesthetics and classic design. Gary was (and still is) a freelance photographer with a deep passion for vintage classics and antiques. a His family holds a legacy in eyewear manufacturing spanning over 40 years making glasses for luxury eyewear brands. After completing his military service, he leveraged his family's resources to begin manufacturing eyewear on an OEM basis for local designers, but over time the desire to create a brand of his own took root; thus, the concept for CLASSICO began to take shape in his mind. Tom works a designer specializing in brand identity, who also held a long fascination with handcrafted eyewear since childhood. He founded the brand with Gary with the aim of using the power of design to bring more beauty to the world around us.
